The Experian Credit Services and Decision Analytics business group is seeking a Vice President, Strategic Business DevelopmentCapital Markets who will be responsible for developing the Fixed Income market for Experian as well as successfully managing senior-level relationships, particularly related to MBS and ABS activities. By assuming the mantle of trusted business advisor and providing counsel to senior leaders at issuers, servicers, and investors, the successful individual will leverage Experians strong products and capabilities to help our clients achieve greater profitability. 



This individualwill proactively and regularly initiate client-facing market development efforts, effectively understand client needs and consult with clients to architect broad solutions to meet those needs, and lead strategic client engagements for Experian consisting of data, analytics, software, and/or analytics consulting. A key priority for this role is to deliver quantifiable financial results through sales of products and services. The purpose of thisrole is to build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with senior client executives and increase Experian penetration, revenue, and profitability in the Fixed Income marketplace. Theindividual in this role works with the client to understand their business needs and provides industry-focused expertise in projecting Experians solutions to solve the clients problems. She/he will direct and coach internal efforts to fulfill engagements from an overall business standpoint by effectively guiding internal engagement teams in assessing client business practices, policies, analytics, and technological systems while they devise and implement solutions to efficiently meet client needs. This role requires effective collaboration with internal sales, marketing, analytics, and technology teams to exceed aggressive growth goals. A key requirement for this role is the ability to influence clients, the sales organization, the core team, product management and the Experian enterprise.


Consultative and StrategicAssume the role of trusted business advisor and provide senior level council to the C-suite of large financial institutions. Effectively understand client needs and consult with clients to architect broad solutions that meet those needs. Provide clients with industry-focused thought leadership, consultation and insight to assist them in risk mitigation and portfolio valuation. 


Account PlanningResponsible for thoroughly understanding the clients business, objectives, operating needs, business processes and economic drivers; Performs business process and operational reviews, identifies opportunities and proactively develops specific recommendations for client business improvement; collaborates with Experian sales, marketing, analytics and technology teams to exceed growth goals and client expectations. 


LeadershipDirect internal efforts to fulfill engagements from an overall business standpoint by effectively guiding internal engagement teams in assessing client business practices, policies analytics and technology systems while devising and implementing solutions to efficiently meet client needs. 


Relationship ManagementResponsible for developing and managing the Experian relationship with the client by assuming the role of trusted advisor to the CXO level of large financial services institutions and ensuring all Experian touchpoints with the client are performing in an integrated fashion and creating customer loyalty. 


Account GrowthAccountable for finding and closing new revenue opportunities within both new and existing accounts and meeting revenue budget expectations via the development of the Fixed Income market, particularly as it relates to MBS and ABS activities. Responsible for budget setting and providing accurate forecasting and financial reports/information; Manages solution design, pricing and contract negotiations.

 
 

 Qualifications 


Bachelors degree is required and MBA is strongly preferred. 

10+ years experience in secondary market activities related to MBS and/or ABS, preferably related to either the issuance of securities or to the Wall Street side of mortgage origination or servicing. 

Proven strategic-level sales, marketing and business development and consulting skill sets. 

Strong account relationship, growth and profitability experience.

Ability to interact and strongly connect experiences to opportunities, with leaders in Fixed Income and Mortgage Banking businesses. 

Demonstrated experience and comfort in developing and managing senior level relationships extending up to the CXO level. 

Strong consultative sales and negotiation skills. 

Proven ability to translate client needs into strong positioning and messaging to the marketplace. 

Excellent written and oral communication skills; articulate and persuasive presence and speaking experience required. 

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, deep knowledge of the trends and issues facing in the Financial Services sectors.

Good managerial skills, including the ability to lead and motivate teams and provide financial oversight and management. 

Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills and a proven ability to drive results.
