Department of Corrections (DOC); Division of Management Services (DMS); Bureau of Technology Management (BTM), 3099 E. Washington Ave, Madison, WI located on Madisons east side right off the interstate with easy access and parking. 

Job Duties:

These positions (2) provide hands on quality assurance support for Department of Corrections (DOC) IT initiatives including analyzing project requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents in order to write and execute test cases and test scripts in accordance with predefined test plans; recording of defects in tracking software, including documentation of information useful in the debugging process, evaluation of test data, problems discovery, tracking, and resolution; and assisting in the development, improvement, and maintenance of QA procedures and processes at DOC; works with a variety of DOC, other State agency, and vendor personnel, other Bureau of Technology Management staff assigned to IT projects requiring QA support. These positions develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with business and technical requirements. The QA Analysts also document the results of all performed tests, and works with the appropriate group in isolating the cause of a defect and providing detailed information to assist in resolving the problem that caused the defect. This includes the use of QA software tools that help manage, track, and automate components of the QA process.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Experience with Quality Assurance procedures and processes; using automated quality assurance tools suites, preferably the Compuware QA Center tool set; Knowledge of relational database management systems and SQL; oral and written communications skills; interpersonal skills; conflict management capabilities; problem solving and organizational skills.
