The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment. It will give the individual exposure to providing technical leadership to a large operating Business Unit as well as experience managing Direct Reports. 

Under the direction of the Plant Quality Manager, provides leadership and technical assistance to a shift as assigned, by aggressively managing quality systems, instilling quality awareness and commitment and performing fact-based assessments / audits of manufacturing operations. Ensures that all records, procedures, processes, packaging and equipment are in compliance with all Federal, State and other regulatory agencies. Assists in the development of new quality systems and personnel and serves as a resource for plant business units and other plant functions.

Responsible for leadership of Food Safety, Regulatory Compliance, and Manufactured Quality for a complex Operating Unit dealing directly with Business Unit Managers, Operations Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, USDA Inspectors, and various members of the Quality Systems Department. Maintains contacts with R & D, Logistics, as well as Headquarters Quality & Operations. Manages Salaried Non Exempt Quality Employees.
