Description: The Albuquerque Thunderbirds seek an individual committed to achieving excellence in sales, with superior communication skills and work ethic. This person will prospect and sell tickets and promotional ticket packages to both corporations and the general public. This individual will have a passion for sports and a strong desire to move ahead in the industry. This is a full-time position. 

 Duties and Responsibilities: 

*Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual goals. *Provide superior customer service to clients - existing ticket holders, prospects, and single game customers. *Prospect and make cold calls to area companies and organizations to set up appointments to sell Thunderbirds season, group, and mini-plan tickets. *Solicit through daily telemarketing, direct visits, lobby displays, direct mail and other means to generate leads*Develop and maintain call logs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis*Develop and implement tracking system for each account*Maintain database for communicating with contacts, including mailing lists, fax numbers and e-mail*Game-Day responsibilities and basic office duties as assigned. *Staff Ticket Sales Tables during Arena/Game events as well as outside functions such as luncheons, business shows, conventions, etc.*Attend team and select additional Arena events, as scheduled*Work on special projects that multi-task across various departments*Treat every contact with the utmost respect and desire to serve their needs 

 The ideal candidate will have: 

*Bachelor's degree or the equivalent trainingexperience.*Excellent communication skills, high energy and a passion for the product*Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, professionalism, ability to talk to executives and a passion for the sports industry. *Minimum of one-year experience in professional sports ticket sales preferred. *Must be proficient in Excel and database applications, as well as Word and Outlook. *Strong time-management and organizational skills. Must be able to manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls, appointments, and sales. *Flexibility to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, as required, in non-traditional settings. *Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. *Ability to handle multiple ticket sales projects well, and to produce good results with every project. *Strong writtenverbal communication and presentation skills. *Ability to work in a changing and often stressful environment. *Energy, enthusiasm and willingness to try new ideas*Creative approach to problem solving. *Articulate, self-motivated and goal oriented*Local network of contacts a plus
