SAIC is currently seeking a GFE Logistics Support Manager in Washington D.C. The individual needs to have the following experiences:
10 years experience in Navy or USCG Acquisition Programs. Broad experience in program management, financial management, configuration management, and/or logistics management support. Experience in major acquisition programs for combat systems, weapon systems, communication systems, and/or shipbuilding programs preferred. SPAWAR background would be beneficial but not mandatory. Proficient in PC application programs mandatory.
The individual hired will perform the following duties:
Establishes operational objectives and assignments. Objectives are reviewed by senior management to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies which affect immediate operation(s). Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables. Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Regularly interacts with senior management on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range targets. Determines and pursues courses of action essential in obtaining desired outcomes. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Candidate mustbe eligible for obtaining a TS/SCI Clearance with the U.S. government prior to consideration.
Education required or desired: BS or MS degrees required in any of the following: business, management, computer science, and/or engineering. Six years of additional, related work experience may be substituted in lieu of degrees.
Desired Skills: Working knowledge of the Coast Guard Acquisition process.
