This is a part time Recreation Leader position with no benefits located in Bogan Park (Buford).


 Essential Duties: 

 

Overseeing day-to-day operations of facilities, including supervising participants and programs, assisting special interest groups, dealing, with the public, teaching classes, camps and monitoring activities in a variety of areas. Able to travel to offsite events. Develops and assists with newsletters and other promotional materials. Performs various clerical/receptionist duties such as answering phone calls, greeting customers, implementation of a resources pool and volunteer corps. 

 

Performs some daily housekeeping duties inside and outside of the facilities. 


 Education/Experience, Licenses, Knowledge and Skills, Physical Requirements: 


 

 Must be able to work a variety of hours, Sunday-Saturday, daytime and evenings. 

 Must be able to work weekends and holidays. 

 CPR/First Aide certified preferred.A valid drivers license is required.This job entails fiduciary responsibility and will require a credit check.Development and implementation of programs and special event and activities for participants.Skill in interpersonal relations, customer service, computer and developing resource programs.Knowledge of financial record keeping, MS Access, Work, Publisher and Excel. High School Diploma or GED equivalency. Experience in recreation programming, supervision, customer service and athletic scheduling.


 Supplemental Information: 

Positions in this class typically require: reaching, extensive sitting, manual dexterity for the purpose of keyboarding, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects.
