Position Summary:

 ?Plans, designs, analyzes, monitors, maintains, and installs network devices on the enterprise voice and data communication network and corporate email communication applications. 
 ?Provides liaison support between the server and network team, vendors and business organization of the company.
 ?Determines overall communications requirements and capacity planning to best meet the organization needs.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 ?Provides all levels of management with high-end technology solutions related to corporate data communication network and email platforms including LAN, frame relay network, VPN and phone companies and email, voice mail, VOIP, IM, etraining and emeeting applications. 
 ?Identifies and resolves communication hardware and software related failures and issues. Ensures network and business continuity throughout the implementation and management of redundant and disaster/recovery procedures and location. 
 ?Analyzes, identifies, and resolves data communication operational issues related to voice and data communication to ensure optimum performance and network capacity. Assist in the support of all server platforms that communicate through the network. 
 ?Collaborates with managers in the development of new network design updates, and defines integration strategies for data and VOIP applications. Sets direction for all long term data communication architecture.
 ?Studies vendor products to determine which best meet organization need; assists in presentation of information to management resulting in purchase and installation of network equipment. 
 ?Provides training for lower level network functions, port management, wiring closet management and IP address management.
 ?Installs and upgrades Lotus Notes software on remote and General Office computers.
 ?Creates, modifies or deletes user accounts for local and remote communication application access.
 ?Provide third level support for all communications issues including email, IM, VOIP, and LAN/WAN issues.
 


Job Requirements:

?Minimum four years solid work experience in a corporate network environment. Minimum two years of current experience with Lotus Notes, Sametime, and related collaboration communication applications preferred. 
 ?Advanced knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and related software. 
 ?Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP and various network protocols.
 ?Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills required.
 ?Ability to install and program network hardware, software, hubs, routers, switches and cabling on a consistent basis.
 ?Bachelor degree with significant coursework in Cisco certified classes or Bachelor in Computer Science.
 ?Knowledge and exposure to sonet ring, frame relay, OC12, DS3, VPN, wireless communication, content switches, OSPF, QOS, and firewalls.
 ?Flexibility to travel and work hours outside of normal work schedule.
 ?CCNP or CCDP current certification.
