Job Description: JOB DESCRIPTION Assists in the design, administration, analysis, troubleshooting, and documenting of cardiology clinical applications and associated databases. Works in the development, implementation and integration of the Heartlab Encompass Cardiac Network. First year priorities include: 1) Upgrade of GE’s Mac Lab application; 2) Upgrade of AGFA’s Encompass application including ACC submissions; 3) Workflow documentation and implementation of patient report posting in EMR; 4) Maintenance and enhancement of Electrophysiology Scheduling application (PHP)JOB QUALIFICATIONS * Manage a variety of databases used in support of the cardiology electrophysiology & cardiac catheterization labs. The position combines elements of a data analyst, systems analyst, software developer. * Knowledge of software applications pertaining to Cardiology Informatics including Encompass, MacLab. ACC submission and associated databases is desired. * Understanding of PL/SQL, Javascript, ASP, Visual Basics PHP, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server. * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience required. * Experience with medical terminology a plus. * At least three years experience with database usage (preferably Oracle) and a working familiarity with Structured Query Language or Crystal Reports. * Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 2000 based personal computers in a network environment. * Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. * Strong interpersonal skills are essential. * Interest or experience in the use of databases for answering research questions is necessary. * Must be able to work independently, available to work flexible hours, and available to travel.We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
