If you're looking for the best group to work for in Broadcom, you've found it! Our chip design group supports two of the four lines of business within the Wireless Connectivity Business Unit. We are working on exciting SOC's in the cutting edge fields of mobile TV (television on your cell phone or laptop) and VoIP, as well as others. Our group is still relatively small, but growing quickly. This is a design verification position, which includes activities such as these:
- Develop functional test/verification plans.
- Develop verification environments and test suites for full chip and block level testing, using the latest tools and verification languages.
- Functionality includes cores such as ARM or MIPS CPU's, Ethernet, codecs, modems, and a wide array of peripherals.
- Assist with the generation and bring-up of test vectors on the ATE.
- Work with system and hardware engineers to port tests to other environments (such as FPGA prototyping systems), silicon bring up, and validation, etc.

Job Requirements : B.S. + M.S. (preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 7+ years experience in ASIC RTL verification
- Experience in verifying designs at system level and block level
- Experience with either ARM or MIPS embedded architectures
- Strong Verilog, PERL, TCL, and C/C++ programming skills
- System Verilog, Vera, E, or assertion based verification background
- Strong system and block level reference modeling skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Well organized, methodical, and detail oriented
- Team player.
